Share Your World 2014 – Week 21

share your world

I am sooo thankful for Cee’s Share Your World questions this week! I haven’t been feeling very inspired lately, that’s why I haven’t posted in the last couple days. So I’m really glad to have some prompts.

This is my third week in the Share Your World Challenge. If you missed the last couple of weeks, more information can be found at Cee’s Photography. Essentially, four questions are asked every week and you have to answer them. Simple and fun!

If you could make a 15 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?

Be kind. Be open-minded. If we treated others the way we would want to be treated, the world would be a better place.

If you could take a photograph, paint a picture or write a story of any place in the world, what and where would it be?

This is a hard question! How can I choose just one place?! I’m feeling nostalgic, so I’ll say I’d like to paint a picture of a sunset off the big dock at Balsam. Balsam is a lake resort I went to for two weeks every summer with my family. I met the same friends there every summer and we basically grew up together. It was a fun, safe and care-free place. The sunsets over the lake were always so colourful. The big dock was the best place to see them from.

If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick?

It would definitely be an arts and crafts store like Michael’s. There would be no end to the entertainment! I could finally try all the art projects I’ve been wanting to try.

If you were given a boat or yacht today, what would you name it? Β (You can always sell the yacht later)

I would probably let my husband name it, he gets excited about things like this. He would probably name it after a superhero or a comic book character. I know boats and cars are usually given girl’s names, but he named his first car “Stevie T” after Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, so I wouldn’t doubt he’d call a boat something like “The Dark Knight” or something.

Bonus question: Β What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week: I worked from home the whole week and I got sooo much work done. It felt really good to get all those things out of the way.

This week: It’s the last week of May, so I’m looking forward to making plans for June. June is a big month….my sister’s birthday, my birthday, my husband’s birthday and our one year wedding anniversary! Busy, busy busy!

Glad to hear you’re feeling more positive. Great you got so much done working from home. How do you it???? I lose all willpower and discipline at home.

I guess when I work from home I get more me-time because I don’t have the long commute to deal with. I use that time as a reward to bribe myself to get my work done, lol.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and all the birthdays. And the Dark Knight is not such a bad name I could totally name a boat ‘The Dark Knight”
