This is the Share Your World Challenge. If you missed the last couple of weeks, more information can be found at Cee’s Photography. Essentially, four questions are asked every week and you have to answer them. Simple and fun! (Thanks Cee!)
Have your blogging goals changed?
I started out aiming to just have somewhere to share my thoughts and meet people in the mental health community. I didn’t set any real blogging goals because I didn’t want to be disappointed. This was supposed to help me, not stress me out. I think my goal at the moment is to just keep going, writing and drawing, and see where it takes me. So in the end, I guess my goals haven’t changed that much.
If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?
I’d probably be a contortionist. They are in such great shape and they can do things with their bodies that just blow my mind. Also, they usually perform in a group. I think I’d be too nervous to perform all by myself. I like to blend in. Here is a photo from Cirque de Soleil’s Kurios. I saw the show at the beginning of summer. Wow is all I have to say.
If you could go back and talk to yourself at age 18 what advice would you give yourself? Or if you are younger than 25 what words of wisdom would you like to tell yourself at age 45?
I would tell myself to slow down and smell the roses. Achievement isn’t everything. Most of the things you accomplish at 18 don’t play a big role in the rest of your life. So stop worrying about grades, stop worrying about being well rounded enough, stop worrying about majors and minors, its not worth it. Make good memories, make forever friends, try new things and get a hobby.
What is your favorite comfort snack food?
Cake! Hands down, cake! The more icing, the better! Cream cheese or chocolate icing is usually best 🙂
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week: Last weekend I went to the family farm and spent the weekend with my cousins. I used to see them every week when they were really little because I was babysitting them. Now, I miss seeing them so often and I don’t know them as well. I’m glad to have had the chance to make some more recent memories with them.
This week: I am looking forward to staying home this weekend. Hubby and I have been away the last several weekends…New York, Toronto, the farm. It will be nice to be home and get somethings done around here. Ewok will be glad we stay home with her too.
